Lets taco bout National Tequila Day

Yes! National Tequila Day is a thing and I’m so grateful that it is. It’s also Cousins Day but if I had to choose, I’d pick tequila 😉 See, tequila and I have a love/hate thing going on. I love that it makes me warm, affectionate and uninhibited. I also hate that it makes me warm, affectionate and uninhibited. I’d give you an example but what happens in Cancun, stays in Cancun.

I celebrated by going to a favorite taco joint of mine, Torchy’s. The location at Towne Lake is my choice because they have outdoor seating that has a bomb ass lake view. During lunch I decided to start my tequila celebration early so I won’t get caught in Houston traffic later. Smart move, I know. Besides, it’s happy hour somewhere 🤷🏽‍♀️

I started off with the Alabama Shake taco. It has fried catfish, poblano slaw, cotija cheese, cilantro and avocado sauce. Very light and delicious, one was enough. Now on to the reason to celebrate, the tequila. I ordered the Perfected Patron. It’s Patron Silver and Patron Citronge with lime juice. One was enough as well since I had to go back to work. If it was after hours, 2 would’ve made me feel GOODT like Halle Berry. Are you celebrating with tequila today?
