Stripper Bop

“Do yo walk, make it shake” ayyyy, lol. Strippers… gotta quote 2Chainz cuz “yeah I love the strippers.” See I’m not talking about a bust down that you see in some dingy club. I’m referring to the ones that keep themselves in shape, hair done, nails done, everything did! I can respect the hustle. They are providing a service, selling a fantasy and look a certain way in order to be marketable and make a nice profit.

I often joke with my friends when I hear a song that makes me want to twerk. I tell them that song will be on my stripper playlist. Yeah, it’s a real thing, although I don’t think they know. You can check it out here.

I remember my first strip club experience on the Eastside at The Pink Slip. The floors were sticky, the strippers looked terrible, and I just couldn’t understand why people came  there. Then we ordered some wings and a fish plate and that made my experience better. Yes, strip clubs have bomb ass food! You didn’t know?

Fast forward to a few years ago. I’m visiting Houston TX, where I now reside, for All Star weekend. After hearing Drake name drop her in “Miss Me,” “Some one tell Maliah I’m on fire, she should work tonight,” I’m like shoot, let’s go there. Drake wasn’t there when I went, but it was still bananas! While I learned upon entry that the club was BYOB(yes, ya girl was sober and salty) I got my first experience of making it rain so, that was a perk lol.

At the time I wasn’t thinking about trying their food but fast forward to present day. Dreams gentlemen’s club had Dream Wings truck and now they have their own restaurant. See I told y’all strip club food is good. They don’t limit themselves to just wings. There’s  pasta, fries, fish, shrimp, loaded potatoes and cinnamon rolls, but the wings are truly the star of the show. 6BD7A9C7-0958-45C7-8F80-D9EB19E1EEAE

I visited the new location at 3525 Ella Blvd, you may pass it because they don’t have a sign yet, but there’s a nice patio out front. While small inside the food did not disappoint. As soon as I walked in, everyone working there spoke. I was handed a menu and got the 10 piece which comes with 2 flavors, I chose the lemon pepper Parmesan(unbreaded) and breaded buffalo wings. I also got an order of lemon pepper fries but they have at least 8 flavor options.

The lemon pepper Parmesan wings  were perfect. Crispy but still juicy on the inside. The seasonings were not over-powering and they know how to use a dry rub, as my wings weren’t wet. The buffalo wing sauce was good and not too spicy, but next time I won’t get them breaded. Those fries were very tasty. I’m picky when it comes to fries but they were crispy and fresh with the right amount of lemon peeper. Dream Wings, my belly thanks you, even though it won’t help me get closer towards my stripper body goals 😉
